Qualifications: • Degree in marine engineering or equivalent • Must have at least one year of experience as a technical superintendent in a company managing handy-max sized (or larger) vessels engaged in international trading and must have a minimum of one full year in rank as a chief engineer or have completed three contracts as a chief engineer on container vessels • DF vessel experience is a plus • Container vessel experience is mandatory • Previous experience with new-builds and dry-dockings preferred

Description

* Managed vessel operations, maintenance, dry dockings, and repairs while ensuring compliance with international regulations and Safety Management System (SMS). * Monitored vessel performance, troubleshot technical issues, and implemented solutions to improve reliability and efficiency. * Planned and controlled budgets, tracked expenses, and delivered monthly variance reports for assigned vessels. * Conducted vessel visits and audits to ensure safety, quality, environmental compliance, and operational excellence. * Led and supported crew performance, ensuring adherence to company policies and effective issue resolution.
