<p><strong>Experience & Technical Requirements:-</strong></p><p> Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on IT infrastructure experience, preferably within a</p><p>technical, industrial, maritime, or similar operational environment.</p><p> Strong practical knowledge of network administration, particularly</p><p>FortiGate/Fortinet and Cisco networking environments.</p><p> Ability to configure, manage, and troubleshoot Layer 2/Layer 3 switches, VLANs,</p><p>inter-VLAN routing, trunk/access ports, routing, and network segmentation.</p><p> Practical knowledge of FortiGate firewall administration, including firewall policies,</p><p>NAT, VPN, routing, security profiles, logs, and basic troubleshooting.</p><p> Experience supporting IT infrastructure, communication systems, and</p><p>electronic/network-connected equipment. Previous vessel/onboard IT experience</p><p>would be an advantage.</p><p> Good understanding of cybersecurity best practices, including network</p><p>segmentation, firewall security, access control, VPN/remote access, endpoint</p><p>protection, patching, and basic security monitoring.</p><p> Strong troubleshooting capability across hardware, Windows operating systems,</p><p>applications, networking, and connectivity issues.</p><p> Basic understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy,</p><p>and Microsoft 365 would be preferred.</p><p> Ability to diagnose technical issues systematically and work independently with</p><p>minimal supervision.</p><p> Ability to coordinate with vessels/users, vendors, service providers, and internal</p><p>technical teams when resolving incidents.</p><p> Good command of written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate</p><p>technical issues clearly.</p><p> Willingness and ability to work in shifts as part of a 24/7 technical support</p><p>operation.</p><p> Candidate should have a strong willingness to learn, take ownership of technical</p><p>issues, and continuously develop their technical knowledge.</p>
