<p><strong>Training Superintendent ( Sr Manager)</strong></p><p></p><p>About the Role</p><p>The ideal candidate will have strong maritime industry knowledge, preferably with experience on <strong>Oil or Chemical Tankers</strong>, and the ability to translate practical vessel experience into effective training programs for maritime professionals.</p><p>Prior training or instructional experience either <strong>onboard or ashore is preferred but not mandatory</strong>. Candidates with strong operational expertise and a passion for developing people are encouraged to apply.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li><p>Design, develop and deliver <strong>maritime training programs</strong> for seafarers.</p></li><li><p>Conduct classroom, virtual and practical training sessions based on organizational requirements.</p></li><li><p>Develop training materials, presentations, assessments, case studies and other learning resources.</p></li><li><p>Identify training needs and recommend appropriate learning interventions.</p></li><li><p>Leverage practical <strong>shipboard experience</strong> to provide real-world examples and operational insights.</p></li><li><p>Deliver training related to <strong>ship operations, safety, compliance, technical and operational best practices</strong>, as applicable.</p></li><li><p>Evaluate participant performance and provide constructive feedback.</p></li><li><p>Monitor training effectiveness and continuously improve training content and delivery methods.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with internal teams and subject-matter experts to develop customized training programs.</p></li><li><p>Stay updated with relevant <strong>maritime regulations, industry practices, safety standards and technological developments</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Maintain training records, reports and relevant L&D documentation.</p></li><li><p>Support the organization in building a strong <strong>learning and development culture</strong>.</p></li></ul><p>Candidate Profile</p><p><strong>Mandatory:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Qualified <strong>Master Mariner or Chief Engineer</strong> with relevant sailing experience.</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of shipboard operations and maritime industry practices.</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.</p></li><li><p>Ability to engage and train professionals at different levels.</p></li><li><p>Strong command of English.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Experience on <strong>Oil Tankers / Chemical Tankers</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Prior experience as a <strong>Trainer, Instructor, Marine Superintendent, Technical Superintendent, Training Superintendent</strong> or in a similar training/L&D role.</p></li><li><p>Experience conducting onboard or shore-based training.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of <strong>STCW, ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL</strong> and other relevant maritime regulations.</p></li><li><p>Experience in developing training modules, assessments and learning content.</p></li></ul><p></p>
