<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:-</strong></p><p><strong>Market Communication & Circulation</strong></p><p>• Receive, acknowledge, and circulate cargo and vessel requirements received</p><p>from charterers, ship owners, and agents.</p><p>• Maintain and update daily vessel and cargo lists.</p><p>• Ensure timely internal and external email circulation of market opportunities via</p><p>group emails or brokers’ networks.</p><p></p><p><strong>Support in Quoting</strong></p><p>• Assist in preparing and sending freight offers or responses to cargo</p><p>requirements based on owner’s instructions and prevailing market conditions.</p><p>• Coordinate with ship owners/operators to gather freight indications,</p><p>availability, and vessel specs.</p><p>• Work closely with senior brokers to help prepare recaps and fixture notes.</p><p></p><p><strong>Documentation & Reporting</strong></p><p>• Maintain logs of open vessels, cargoes, and freight quotes.</p><p>• Prepare voyage estimations under guidance using internal tools or Excel-based</p><p>models.</p><p>• Assist in compiling charter party documents, CP addendums, and fixture</p><p>records.</p><p></p><p><strong>Coordination</strong></p><p>• Liaise with internal teams (post-fixture, operations) for smooth transition after</p><p>fixing.</p><p>• Support brokers in follow-ups with owners/charterers regarding open positions,</p><p>cargo status, and feedback on offers.</p><p></p><p><strong>Learning & Development</strong></p><p>• Understand fundamentals of dry bulk chartering and shipping market</p><p>dynamics.</p><p>• Participate in internal training sessions on chartering, negotiations,</p><p>documentation, and port/voyage operations.</p><p></p><p><strong>Required Qualifications & Skills</strong></p><p>• Graduate (preferably in Shipping, Logistics, Commerce, Economics or related</p><p>fields)</p><p>• Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, and basic data handling</p><p>• Strong eagerness to learn commercial shipping and chartering processes</p><p>• Professional demeaner, attention to detail, and ability to handle pressure</p><p></p><p><strong>Desirable Traits</strong></p><p>• Prior internship or exposure in shipping/logistics is an advantage but not</p><p>mandatory.</p><p>• Willingness to grow into an independent broker role over time.</p><p>• Ability to work with global time zones and clients.</p><p></p><p><strong>Career Progression</strong></p><p>High-performing Trainee Ship Brokers will have the opportunity to progress into:</p><p>• Chartering Executive</p><p>• Post-Fixture Executive</p><p>• Junior Ship Broker</p>
