<p>Technical Superintendent - Geared Bulk Carrier</p><p>Job Description:</p><p> Track all the reports from vessel, analyze performance/defects and correspond</p><p>with vessel to address the same.</p><p> Monitor day to day fuel consumption and speed of the vessel. Review and advise</p><p>vessel as the case may be. Co-ordinate with operations team and vessel in case</p><p>of any deviation.</p><p> Carry out regular inspection of allocated vessels, to assess condition of vessel</p><p>and competence of Officers & crew, at work Prepare report, as per company</p><p>Vessel Technical Inspection guidelines.</p><p> Coordinate with the vessel to close out any deficiencies raised in any internal</p><p>inspection to have the vessel ready for any third-party inspection.</p><p> Identify requirement of any major repairs and plan time/workshop or riding</p><p>squad/spares, co-ordinate with relevant teams for the same.</p><p> Plan schedule and co-ordinate with classification societies to carry out surveys.</p><p> Planning and managing under the retrofits, maintenance, repairs, dry-docking,</p><p>conversions or modifications.</p><p> Formulating long term maintenance plans and tracking maintenance in</p><p>accordance with makers maintenance schedules and the PMS.</p><p> Suggesting improvement/changes to procedures & HSQE manuals where</p><p>required.</p><p> Monitoring and managing vessel operating costs within agreed budgets.</p><p> Monitoring vessel performance trends including speed, fuel and lubricating oil</p><p>consumptions, and implementing timely remedial actions where required.</p><p> Ensuring implementation of safety and environmental standards on board the</p><p>vessel.</p><p> Monitoring and guiding the vessel purchaser and the technical assistant on</p><p>procurement matters and technical services.</p><p> To provide support to crewing department in selection of engineer officers.</p><p> Carrying out senior Officer Performance Appraisals, mentoring of staff, and</p><p>carrying out briefings.</p><p> Controlling and executing all activities pertaining to classification bodies, flag</p><p>states, and surveys & certification of the vessels under direct charge.</p><p>What we offer:</p><p> Opportunity to be a part of India’s largest shipping company established in 1948</p><p>and growing.</p><p> Corporate culture driven by defined values and a empathetic work environment</p><p>believing in holistic development of an employee.</p><p> Competitive salary reflecting experience and qualifications.</p>
