Qualifications:  •Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (CoC) with minimum 1 year sailing experience at this rank.  Comprehensive knowledge of marine engineering systems and operations  Strong understanding of international maritime regulations (IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL)  Experience with Classification Society and Flag State requirements  Proven track record in vessel maintenance and technical management  Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)  Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously  Willingness to travel internationally for repairs ,drydock and inspection duties  Strong leadership and team management capabilities Preferred Qualifications  MBA (Master of Business Administration) degree  Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred)  Shore-based technical management experience  Experience with asset management or ship management companies.  Familiarity with modern fleet management software systems

Description

Fleet Technical Operations Management  Liaise with Technical Managers and Superintendents to ensure safe operations of ship machinery and equipment  Maintain comprehensive oversight of fleet vessel technical operations and performance  Ensure full compliance with Class, Flag State, and Port State regulations and requirements  Provide technical guidance and support to Contract and Operations Managers for consistent vessel operations  Onboard Technical inspection to carry out for pre purchase , Owned vessels VIR and Drydock preparations. Financial Management & Budget Control  Ensure vessels are maintained within planned OPEX (Operational Expenditure) ranges  Provide timely approvals for Technical Managers regarding spare parts and services procurement  Monitor and control maintenance costs while maintaining operational efficiency  Coordinate with Fleet Manager on insurance-related matters and settlement processes Drydock & Major Repairs Supervision  Attend drydock operations and major repairs at various international locations as required.  Ensure repairs are completed within designated timeframes and budget constraints  Oversee Technical Managers for repair work to guarantee safe practices, best quality outcomes, and cost-effectiveness  Coordinate/Arrange service engineers and contractors for optimal repair execution to assist the Technical Managers for the repairs.
