<p>We are seeking an experienced <strong>Technical Superintendent – Geared Bulk Carrier</strong> to join a leading organization in the maritime sector. The ideal candidate will have extensive sailing experience, including service as a <strong>Chief Engineer on Bulk Carrier vessels</strong>, coupled with technical management expertise ashore.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li><p>Monitor vessel reports, analyze technical performance, and coordinate with onboard teams to address defects and operational issues.</p></li><li><p>Track daily fuel consumption and vessel speed, review deviations, and coordinate corrective actions with vessel and operations teams.</p></li><li><p>Conduct regular technical inspections of assigned vessels and evaluate vessel condition, officer competency, and operational standards.</p></li><li><p>Ensure timely closure of deficiencies identified during internal and external inspections.</p></li><li><p>Plan and coordinate major repairs, retrofits, maintenance activities, dry-dockings, conversions, and modifications.</p></li><li><p>Manage classification society surveys, statutory certifications, and compliance requirements.</p></li><li><p>Develop and monitor long-term maintenance plans in line with PMS and maker recommendations.</p></li><li><p>Control vessel operating costs and manage budgets effectively.</p></li><li><p>Analyze vessel performance trends related to fuel, lubricating oil consumption, and speed, implementing corrective measures as required.</p></li><li><p>Ensure adherence to safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory standards onboard.</p></li><li><p>Support procurement activities, technical services, and vessel purchasing processes.</p></li><li><p>Assist the crewing department in the selection and evaluation of engineering officers.</p></li><li><p>Conduct senior officer performance appraisals, mentoring, and technical briefings.</p></li><li><p>Liaise with classification societies, flag administrations, and surveyors for all technical and certification matters.</p></li></ul><p></p>
