<p>About the Role</p><p>We are looking for an experienced <strong>Technical Superintendent</strong> with 1–2 years of shore-based experience and strong exposure to <strong>Dry Fleet, particularly Bulk Carriers</strong>.</p><p>The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical management and maintenance of assigned vessels, ensuring high standards of safety, reliability, regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li><p>Manage the day-to-day <strong>technical operations and maintenance</strong> of assigned Bulk Carriers.</p></li><li><p>Monitor vessel machinery, equipment performance and planned maintenance systems.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with Masters, Chief Engineers, Class, Flag, shipyards and service providers.</p></li><li><p>Plan and monitor <strong>repairs, dry-dockings, surveys and major maintenance projects</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Ensure vessels comply with applicable <strong>Class, Flag, ISM and statutory requirements</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Monitor technical defects and ensure timely corrective action.</p></li><li><p>Review vessel performance, maintenance costs and technical reports.</p></li><li><p>Assist in preparing and monitoring technical budgets.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate procurement of spares, stores and technical services.</p></li><li><p>Conduct vessel inspections and follow up on deficiencies and recommendations.</p></li><li><p>Support newbuilding/yard delivery activities as required.</p></li><li><p>Ensure effective communication between the vessel and shore-based management team.</p></li></ul><p>Candidate Profile</p><ul><li><p><strong>1–2 years of shore-based experience</strong> as a Technical Superintendent or in a similar technical management role.</p></li><li><p>Strong experience in <strong>Dry Fleet, especially Bulk Carriers</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Previous sailing experience as <strong>Chief Engineer</strong> would be preferred.</p></li><li><p>Good knowledge of marine machinery, planned maintenance, repairs and dry-docking.</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with Class, Flag, ISM and statutory requirements.</p></li><li><p>Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.</p></li><li><p><strong>Must be willing to relocate to Chennai.</strong></p></li></ul><p>Why Join?</p><ul><li><p><strong>Strong and growing fleet:</strong> 49 vessels, including <strong>46 Bulk Carriers and 3 Oil/Chemical Tankers</strong>, with <strong>11 new vessel deliveries planned through 2028</strong>.</p></li><li><p><strong>Integrated management team:</strong> The complete management team is based in the Chennai office, enabling seamless coordination across departments and quick decision-making.</p></li><li><p><strong>Family Medical Insurance</strong> for employees.</p></li><li><p><strong>Life Insurance Cover</strong>.</p></li><li><p><strong>Travel Allowance:</strong> USD 50 per day during official travel.</p></li><li><p><strong>Performance Bonus:</strong> Confirmed minimum <strong>1 month’s salary</strong> as performance bonus.</p></li><li><p><strong>Strong Career Growth:</strong> As the fleet continues to expand, there are significant opportunities for organic career progression and promotion.</p></li><li><p><strong>Long-term Stability:</strong> A privately owned and professionally managed shipping business with a strong long-term commitment to reinvesting in its core ship-owning business.</p></li></ul><p></p>
