<p><strong>Role:- Business Development</strong></p><p></p><p><strong>Qualifications and experience:</strong></p><p><strong>Minimum:</strong> Bachelor’s degree<br /><strong>Experience: </strong>3 – 5 years of experience in shipping, coastal logistics, project cargo, breakbulk, heavy lift, chartering, or port operations</p><p></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities and Tasks:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Develop business for breakbulk, project cargo, ODC and heavy-lift shipments across Indian coastal trade.</p></li><li><p>Identify cargo opportunities across steel, machinery, transformers, wind components, construction equipment, pipes, coils and other heavy/oversized cargo.</p></li><li><p>Build relationships with shippers, EPCs, project logistics companies, freight forwarders, manufacturers and ports/terminals.</p></li><li><p>Handle enquiries and prepare freight quotations, voyage estimates and commercial proposals in line with pricing guidelines.</p></li><li><p>Evaluate port capabilities, vessel suitability, cargo dimensions, lifting, stowage, draft and handling requirements.</p></li><li><p>Support chartering negotiations, tendering, fixture execution and cargo documentation.</p></li><li><p>Monitor cargo pipeline, loading/booking volumes, market trends and port-wise opportunities to drive volume growth.</p></li><li><p>Prepare voyage P&L, cost estimates and post-voyage profitability analysis.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with Commercial, Operations, Pricing, Customer Service and Agents for enquiries, bookings and execution.</p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance with Indian coastal shipping regulations and documentation requirements.</p></li><li><p>Manage priorities, resolve conflicts and ensure smooth coordination within the team.</p></li><li><p>Provide management with regular updates on sales, pipeline, volumes, profitability and key opportunities/risks.</p></li><li><p><strong>Technical Expertise</strong></p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Strong knowledge of the Indian coastal shipping market and major Indian ports.</p></li><li><p>Experience with heavy lift/project cargo planning and execution is highly desirable.</p></li><li><p>Good understanding of vessel types such as Heavy Deck Cargo Carrier </p></li><li><p>Strong commercial, negotiation, and customer-management skills.</p></li><li><p>Ability to understand cargo dimensions, weights, lifting arrangements, stowage requirements, and vessel suitability.</p></li><li><p>Willingness to travel to ports and customer locations across India.</p></li></ul><p></p>
