<p><strong>Qualification:-</strong></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Administration.</p></li><li><p>(Preferred) MBA in Supply Chain or related fields,6+ years of experience in marine/shipping procurement.</p></li><li><p>Experience handling multiple vessels (bulk carriers, tankers, container ships, offshore vessels).</p></li><li><p>Global supplier management experience preferred.</p></li></ul><p>Strong understanding of:</p><p> 1.Marine spare parts & equipment</p><p> 2.Deck & engine stores</p><p> 3.Safety equipment & SOLAS compliance</p><p> 4.Dry-docking procurement</p><p> 5.Bunker procurement (optional, depending on company)</p><ul><li><p>Knowledge of Incoterms, freight logistics, and customs formalities.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>Procurement Planning & Execution</p><ul><li><p>Manage end-to-end procurement of marine spares, stores, lubricants,</p><p>safety equipment, and technical items.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with Chief Engineers, Captains, Technical Superintendents, and Fleet Managers for vessel requisitions.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Review vessel requisitions (RFQs/RFPs), evaluate quotes, and issue POs in line with company policies.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Ensure materials meet required class, IMO, SOLAS, and regulatory standards.</p></li></ul><p>Vendor & Supplier Management</p><ul><li><p>Build and maintain strong relationships with global ship chandlers,OEMs, service providers, and maritime suppliers.</p></li><li><p>Conduct vendor performance evaluations based on quality, deliverytime, pricing, and service.</p></li><li><p>Develop preferred supplier lists and negotiate long-term agreements.</p></li><li><p>Identify new suppliers and port-wise vendor networks to support fleet operations.</p></li></ul><p>Strategic Sourcing & Cost Optimization</p><ul><li><p>Drive cost reduction initiatives through volume consolidation, market benchmarking, and strategic negotiations.</p></li><li><p>Analyse procurement spends and track savings, budgeting, and variance.</p></li><li><p>Identify alternative materials/suppliers without compromising quality or compliance.</p></li></ul><p>Logistics & Delivery Coordination</p><ul><li><p>Plan and coordinate delivery of spares and stores worldwide, ensuring timely supply at the next port of call.</p></li><li><p>Work with logistics partners for customs clearance, freight forwarding, bonded warehouse coordination, and urgent shipments.</p></li><li><p>Monitor shipment tracking and ensure documentation accuracy.</p></li></ul><p>Compliance & Documentation</p><ul><li><p>Ensure all purchases comply with class requirements, vessel AML (Approved Makers List), and company procurement SOPs.</p></li><li><p>Maintain audit-ready documentation for PSC, Class, and internal ISM/ISO audits.</p></li><li><p>Ensure legal and commercial compliance related to Incoterms,</p><p>warranties, and service agreements.</p></li></ul><p>ERP & Reporting</p><ul><li><p>Use marine procurement systems (Danaos, Mariapps etc.) for requisition and PO management.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Prepare periodic reports: monthly spend, supplier KPIs, cost savings,and budget analysis.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Maintain data accuracy in ERP systems and ensure timely updates.</p></li></ul><p>Team Leadership & Collaboration</p><ul><li><p>Coordinate with Finance for invoice reconciliation and vendor payments.</p></li><li><p>Work closely with Technical, HSSE, Operations, and Crewing teams.</p></li><li><p>Provide guidance during emergencies or breakdown situations requiring urgent procurement.</p></li></ul><p></p>
