Description
As a Commercial Operator, plays a pivotal role in the vessels day-to-day operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of commercial activities. Along with the operations team perform close monitoring of vessels’ performance and compliance with charter party terms and close monitoring of all vessels’ communications with constant follow up, when corrective actions are necessary. As instructed by the team lead visit the ships to ascertain proper structural condition, visual appearance and good operation,
deal with all operational contingencies and assist in the collection of required data to safeguard owners’ interest against chartering disputes or other claims. Also continuous follow up of the vessels’ maintenance with detailed scheduled works.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Post-fixture operation of Tankers/Gas/Chemical Carriers
Monitoring and Analyzing daily Noon Report received from the vessels.
Preparing vessel’s performance report as per charterer’s requirement.
Ensure vessels performance as per CP terms and advise vessels accordingly.
Selection and appointment of agents.
Liaising with charterer/broker/agent.
Communicating with terminals for getting vessels acceptance.
Instructing vessels for the voyage and speed as per voyage instruction and/or subsequent
instructions received from charterer if any.
Providing documents (viz Gas form C, Q88, terminal questionnaire etc) to terminals for
vessels acceptance.

Evidence of good performance related to key tasks and responsibility mentioned above, use to measure
success in the role.
1. Successful vessel acceptance at terminals based on correct documentation
2. Incident and stoppage reporting and resolution rate
3. Timely and complete vessel performance and technical reports shared with DGM Operations
4. Quality of stakeholder and terminal coordination and feedback
5. Effective handling of claims and invoice settlement
