<p>About the Role</p><p>We are looking for a <strong>Marine Superintendent</strong> with strong tanker sailing experience and 0–2 years of shore-based exposure to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of marine operations, safety, compliance, and tanker vessel management.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li><p>Oversee the <strong>marine operations</strong> of assigned tanker vessels.</p></li><li><p>Monitor vessel performance and ensure compliance with company procedures and maritime regulations.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with Masters and vessel teams on operational and safety matters.</p></li><li><p>Conduct vessel inspections and ensure timely closure of observations and deficiencies.</p></li><li><p>Monitor compliance with <strong>ISM, ISPS, MARPOL, SOLAS, and Flag/Class requirements</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Support incident, accident, near-miss and root-cause investigations.</p></li><li><p>Assist in preparation and follow-up of <strong>vetting inspections, audits and PSC inspections</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Monitor navigational safety, cargo operations and onboard safety practices.</p></li><li><p>Provide guidance to Masters and deck officers on operational and safety-related matters.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with internal departments, charterers, Class, Flag and external stakeholders as required.</p></li><li><p>Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions across vessels.</p></li></ul><p>Candidate Profile</p><ul><li><p><strong>Tanker sailing experience is mandatory.</strong></p></li><li><p>Sailed as <strong>Master Mariner </strong>on tankers.</p></li><li><p><strong>0–2 years of shore-based experience</strong> in a Marine Superintendent or similar role.</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of tanker operations, safety procedures and marine regulations.</p></li><li><p>Exposure to <strong>ISM, ISPS, MARPOL, SOLAS, PSC and SIRE/Vetting</strong> requirements.</p></li><li><p>Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.</p></li><li><p>Willingness to travel for vessel inspections and audits when required.</p></li><li><p>Candidates transitioning from sea to shore with relevant tanker experience are encouraged to apply.</p></li></ul><p></p>
