<p><strong>Marine Quality Manager</strong></p><p>Job Description</p><p>The Marine Quality Manager will represent the <strong>Client's</strong> interests for the assigned vessels by liaising with external technical managers and vessel crews to ensure a high standard of cargo machinery and equipment maintenance. The role focuses on minimizing vessel downtime, operating within budget, and maintaining the value of the Client's assets.</p><p>Key responsibilities include engagement with vessel managers, monitoring day-to-day vessel operations, reviewing maintenance activities, budgeting and OPEX, and conducting technical inspections.</p><p>This role requires travel to vessels for approximately <strong>2–4 months per year</strong>.</p><p>Experience & Skills</p><ul><li><p>Sailed as <strong>Master</strong> for a minimum of <strong>24–36 months</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Sailing experience on <strong>Product, Chemical, and/or Gas Tankers</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with <strong>ISM Code, ISPS Code, TMSA, and SIRE</strong> requirements.</p></li></ul><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li><p>Conduct visits and inspections of Client's vessels to assess their technical and operational condition.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with onboard crews and Client representatives, fostering effective communication and operational excellence.</p></li><li><p>Track vessel schedules, cargoes, and operational performance.</p></li><li><p>Assist technical managers with operational queries, technical clarifications, and incident management.</p></li><li><p>Assess <strong>SIRE, CDI, Port State Control (PSC), and Flag State</strong> inspection results and oversee timely SIRE inspection arrangements.</p></li><li><p>Review incident investigation reports and PSC deficiency closure reports, submitting findings to relevant stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>Monitor negligent cases onboard vessels and follow up on corrective actions.</p></li><li><p>Collect, review, and analyze technical managers' KPI reports.</p></li><li><p>Supervise performance reporting for <strong>ExxonMobil-chartered vessels</strong>, including semi-annual performance reviews and claims management.</p></li><li><p>Monitor vessel security, particularly for war zone transits, and approve security assessments.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with insurance and legal teams on potential insurance claims and coating damage cases.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate coating inspections for chemical tankers and oversee repair assessments.</p></li><li><p>Address coating-related issues, including tank blistering, in coordination with coating manufacturers and insurers.</p></li><li><p>Review and approve owners' expenses, monthly cash calls, and additional funding requests.</p></li><li><p>Participate in annual and pre-delivery budget preparation.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate crew changes in accordance with charter party requirements and oil major expectations.</p></li><li><p>Review senior officer (Top 2) crew changes, evaluate new crew qualifications, and conduct pre-joining briefings.</p></li><li><p>Engage with vessel officers during vessel visits and manager-led officer seminars to communicate Client expectations.</p></li><li><p>Prepare weekly and monthly reports for senior management covering incidents, damages, vetting statistics, and vessel performance metrics.</p></li><li><p>Submit quarterly technical reports in accordance with Bareboat Charter Party requirements.</p></li><li><p>Act as the primary liaison between technical managers, chartering teams, insurers, and other external stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>Provide backup and full support to the Head of the Client's Asset Monitoring Team.</p></li></ul><p>Additional Skills Required</p><ul><li><p>Shore-based operations experience is preferred.</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of <strong>Bills of Lading (B/L), Letters of Indemnity (LOIs), cargo properties, and cargo tank coatings</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Excellent technical, analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.</p></li><li><p>Ability to manage multiple stakeholders while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and Client standards.</p></li></ul><p></p>
