<p><strong>Marine QHSE Superintendent</strong><br /><strong>Department: Marine Operations / QHSE</strong></p><p><strong>Fleet Scope: DP2 Offshore Support Vessels – AHTS (anchor handling / towing), PSV and Fire Fighting Support Vessels (FFSV)</strong><br /><br /><strong><u>Position Summary:</u></strong></p><p>The Marine QHSE Superintendent is responsible for implementing, monitoring and continually improving the Company's Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental Management</p><p>System across a DP2 offshore fleet. The role ensures full compliance with statutory, flag State, class, charterer and international maritime requirements — including DP integrity assurance specific to AHTS, PSV and FFSV operations — while driving a proactive safety culture across vessel and shore teams.<br /></p><p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><p><strong>Safety & DP Integrity Management System</strong></p><p>• Implement, Maintain and continually improve the Company SMS in compliance with the ISM Code, ISPS Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, MLC 2006 and DG Shipping requirements.</p><p>• Administer DOC and SMC activities; keep manuals, procedures, risk assessments and emergency response plans current.</p><p>• Provide responses to Charterers ' questionnaires and close-outs to observed deficiencies keeping due regard to OVID and CMID quality requirement and responses and ensuring SMS framework in abeyance.</p><p>• Integrate DP assurance into the SMS: ensure the DP FMEA remains a live, reviewed document and that annual DP trials are planned and closed out in line with IMCA M190.</p><p>• Track vessel-specific DP critical equipment, worst-case failure design intent and any operational-class downgrades arising from defective redundancy. </p><p></p><p><strong>Offshore Charterer & Marine Assurance</strong></p><p>• Ensure compliance with ONGC and other charterer QHSE requirements across AHTS, PSV and FFSV scopes.</p><p>• Coordinate OVID / OVIQ inspections, MWS surveys, client audits and DP assurance reviews; drive timely closure of observations and corrective actions.</p><p>• Manage vessel-type-specific assurance: AHTS winch / shark-jaw and bollard-pull</p><p>certification, PSV cargo rail and back-loading arrangements, and FFSV fire-fighting system readiness.</p><p>• Support vessel readiness for charter renewals, tenders and pre-fixture inspections.<br /></p><p><strong>Audits & Inspections</strong></p><p>• Plan and conduct internal vessel and office audits; coordinate Flag State, Class, MMD and PSC audits.</p><p>• Maintain audit schedules, compliance records and non-conformity / CAPA tracking.<br /> <br /><strong>Incident Investigation & Risk Management</strong></p><p>• Lead investigation of incidents, near misses, unsafe acts and environmental events;</p><p>conduct Root Cause Analysis.</p><p>• Facilitate HIRA, JSA, Risk Assessments and Management of Change; maintain fleet risk registers and trend analysis.<br /></p><p><strong>Certification & Regulatory Compliance</strong></p><p>• Liaise with DG Shipping, MMD, Flag Administrations and Classification Societies.</p><p>• Liaise with Flag State to ensure compliance</p><p>• Maintain validity of statutory, class, DP and offshore certification; monitor regulatory</p><p>updates and ensure fleet compliance.<br /></p><p><strong>Training & Competency</strong></p><p>• Monitor seagoing competency against charterer matrices, including DP operator (DPO) certification and currency.</p><p>• Coordinate drills, safety campaigns, toolbox talks and awareness programs; verify training records.</p><p></p><p><strong>Emergency Preparedness</strong></p><p>• Maintain emergency response and contingency plans; coordinate drills and exercises and participate in the Emergency Response Team.<br /></p><p><strong>Environmental Management</strong></p><p>• Ensure MARPOL and environmental compliance; monitor pollution prevention, waste</p><p>management, environmental reporting and sustainability KPIs.</p><p></p><p><strong>QHSE Reporting</strong></p><p>• Prepare monthly QHSE performance reports tracking LTIF, TRIR, near-miss reporting, audit-findings closure, training compliance and OVID / DP performance; recommend improvement initiatives.</p><p></p><p><strong>Stakeholder Management</strong></p><p>• Interface with charterers, Class, Flag, MMD, DG Shipping, auditors and Marine Warranty Surveyors.</p><p>• Support tender submissions with QHSE documentation and promote a positive safety culture fleet-wide.</p>
