<p><strong>Qualifications & Experience:</strong></p><p> Graduate degree or diploma in Maritime Studies, Nautical Science, Shipping,</p><p>Logistics, or a related field.</p><p> Previous experience in marine operations, ship agency, vessel operations, port</p><p>operations, or shipping/logistics is preferred.</p><p> Working knowledge of national maritime practices and port operations.</p><p> Experience coordinating with Masters, vessel agents, terminals, stevedores, port</p><p>authorities, and cargo interests will be an advantage.</p><p></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>1. Handle vessel registration and port formalities.</p><p>2. Arrange berths, pilots, tugs and mooring gangs.</p><p>3. Arrange stevedores, cranes, lifting gears and equipment.</p><p>4. Coordinate cargo stowage and ensure proper distribution.</p><p>5. Oversee cargo lifting and handling operations.</p><p>6. Arrange lashing equipment, materials and lashing gangs.</p><p>7. Oversee complete port operations until vessel departure.</p><p>8. Monitor weather conditions along the vessel’s route.</p><p>9. Plan and monitor vessel routing & safe passage and maintain records.</p><p>10. Coordinate port clearance and departure formalities.</p><p>11. Coordinate with Master, agents, terminals and cargo interests.</p><p>12. Monitor port costs and verify operational invoices and documents and keep the</p><p>necessary records.</p><p></p><p><strong>Required Skills & Competencies:</strong></p><p> Good knowledge of local marine and port operations.</p><p> Understanding of vessel cargo operations, stowage, lifting, lashing, and securing.</p><p> Knowledge of port procedures, vessel documentation, and marine services.</p><p> Strong coordination and communication skills.</p><p> Ability to manage multiple vessels/operations simultaneously.</p><p> Good commercial awareness and cost-control skills.</p><p> Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.</p><p> Good written and verbal communication skills.</p><p> Proficiency in MS Office and operational reporting systems.</p><p> Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.</p><p> Willingness to work outside normal office hours and attend to vessel-related matters.</p><p></p><p></p>
