<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><p><strong>Portfolio Management & Placement:</strong> Oversee a comprehensive insurance portfolio including Hull & Machinery (H&M), Protection & Indemnity (P&I), War Risks, AWRP and KNR . Ensure vessels are adequately covered for the vessel value and the suitable for the trade the vessel is engaged in ( STS etc. ). Ensure condition surveys are carried out as per schedule and clause amended once done. The cert of entry and policy is updated at all times with changes to vessel value , ownership , mortgagee , loss payee etc .</p></li><li><p><strong>Offshore-Specific Risk Management:</strong> Address the unique insurance requirements of offshore vessels, including contractual liability reviews for offshore service agreements (e.g., TOWCON, SUPPLYTIME). Ensure third party towed vessels are adequately insured for HNM and PNI . Towage contracts should safeguard our interests in all aspects i.e. unamend towcon with knock for knock agreement in place . Co-ordinate with chartering dept and review contracts prior finalization for adequate insurance coverage.</p></li><li><p><strong>Recycling Voyages :</strong> Negotiate PNI I and HNM coverage for demolition ships on single voyages .</p></li><li><p><strong>Claims Handling:</strong> Manage the end-to-end claims process, serving as the primary liaison with surveyors, underwriters, and P&I Clubs to ensure timely and favorable settlements. Provide expert risk-reduction advice to the technical and operations teams to minimize incident frequency and impact. All expense bills to be collated and tabulated for settlement of club and HNM underwriters deductible invoices. deductibles. Introduce the recycling business to various underwriters to garner more support and competitive rates thereof .</p></li><li><p><strong>Regulatory & Contractual Compliance:</strong> Ensure all vessels remain compliant with international regulations (ISM/ISPS) and legal disclosure obligations.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Legal :</strong> Would be the first point of contact for legal matters originating from MOA’S ( trading and demolition ) , contractual disputes , compliance matters . Legal department to be briefed and further action to be coordinated with legal dept . <br /><br /><br /></p><p></p>
