Fleet Electrical Support</strong></p><ul><li><p> Assist the Electrical Superintendent with electrical and electronic troubleshooting across the fleet.</p></li><li><p>Attend vessels as required for electrical defect investigation, rectification, testing, and close-out.</p></li><li><p>Assist with preventive and corrective electrical maintenance activities.</p></li><li><p>Support vessel teams during breakdowns, equipment failures, and other electrical emergencies.</p></li><li><p>Maintain proper records of defects, troubleshooting carried out, repairs, and equipment status.</p></li></ul><p><strong>2. Electrical & Electronic Troubleshooting</strong></p><ul><li><p>Develop practical troubleshooting skills for marine electrical and electronic systems.</p></li><li><p>Assist in testing and troubleshooting of:</p></li><li><p>Generators and alternators</p></li><li><p> Main and emergency switchboards</p></li><li><p>AC/DC motors and starters</p></li><li><p>VFDs and motor drives</p></li><li><p>Transformers and power distribution systems</p></li><li><p>UPS and battery systems</p></li><li><p>Control panels and PLC-based systems</p></li><li><p>Sensors, transmitters, relays, contactors, and control circuits</p></li><li><p>Instrumentation and electronic control systems</p></li><li><p> Navigation and communication-related electrical systems as applicable</p></li><li><p>Carry out electrical measurements and testing using multimeters, insulation resistance testers, clamp meters, and other test equipment under guidance.</p></li><li><p> Assist in identifying root causes of electrical failures rather than only replacing defective components.</p></li></ul><p><strong>3. Vessel Attendance & Travel</strong></p><ul><li><p> Attend vessels at short notice whenever required for technical support.</p></li><li><p>Travel to vessels, ports, shipyards, dry docks, and other locations as required.</p></li><li><p> Support vessel attendance during critical repairs, commissioning, troubleshooting, and trials.</p></li><li><p> Be flexible to work in different operating environments and adapt to vessel schedules and operational requirements.</p></li></ul><p><strong>4. Dry Docking & Repair Support</strong></p><ul><li><p>Assist the Electrical Superintendent during vessel dry-docking and major repair projects.</p></li><li><p>Support inspection, testing, commissioning, and rectification of electrical equipment.</p></li><li><p> Assist in monitoring electrical repair jobs carried out by contractors and service engineers.</p></li><li><p> Support documentation and close-out of electrical dry-dock work scopes.</p></li></ul><p><strong>5. Alang Electrical Workshop</strong></p><ul><li><p>Assist in establishing and maintaining the Electrical Test Workshop at Alang.</p></li><li><p>Support testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical/electronic equipment received from vessels.</p></li><li><p>Maintain test equipment, tools, workshop facilities, and basic records.</p></li><li><p>Act as the electrical support point of contact at Alang for the trading and offshore fleet.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with vessel teams, contractors, and service personnel as directed by the Electrical Superintendent.</p></li></ul><p><strong>6. Technical Development & Training</strong></p><ul><li><p>Undergo structured training and mentoring from the Electrical Superintendent and senior technical personnel.</p></li><li><p> Develop knowledge of marine electrical systems and vessel-specific equipment.</p></li><li><p> Study vessel electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, control schematics, manuals, and technical documentation.</p></li><li><p> Develop competency in systematic electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting.</p></li><li><p> Gradually take independent responsibility for assigned electrical tasks as competency develops.</p></li></ul><p><strong>7. Spares & Maintenance Support</strong></p><ul><li><p>Assist in identifying electrical spare requirements based on vessel defects and maintenance requirements.</p></li><li><p>Assist with inspection and identification of electrical components and equipment.</p></li><li><p> Support preparation of technical specifications and information required for procurement.</p></li><li><p>Assist in maintaining records of critical electrical spares and equipment.</p></li></ul><p><strong>8.
