<p><strong>Job Summary</strong>:</p><p>The Vessel Performance Manager is responsible for driving operational efficiency, fuel optimization, emissions compliance, and overall vessel performance across a fleet of 75+ ships. The role focuses on improving technical and commercial performance through data analysis, voyage optimization,benchmarking, and close coordination with vessel and technical teams.</p><p><strong>Job Responsibilities</strong></p><p>1. Fleet Performance Monitoring</p><p> Oversee and monitor daily vessel performance for 75+ ships including speed, fuel</p><p>consumption, engine efficiency, and voyage performance.</p><p> Analyse noon reports, sensor data, AIS data, weather routing results, and bunker</p><p>consumption trends.</p><p> Identify underperforming vessels and recommend corrective actions.</p><p> Maintain fleet performance dashboards and KPI reporting systems</p><p>2. Fuel Efficiency &amp; Cost Optimization</p><p> Drive bunker savings initiatives across fleet.</p><p> Monitor hull, propeller, engine, and trim performance.</p><p> Recommend speed optimization, trim optimization and energy-saving practices.</p><p>3. Emissions &amp; Environmental Compliance</p><p> Monitor compliance with IMO / EU / regional regulations</p><p> Track fleet carbon intensity and GHG emissions.</p><p> Recommend actions to improve ratings and reduce compliance exposure.</p><p>4. Data Management &amp; Digitalization</p><p> Ensure quality and accuracy of vessel performance data.</p><p> Work with software vendors, IT teams, and onboard teams to improve reporting systems.</p><p> Support in implementation of digital tools, analytics platforms, AI models, and performance software.</p><p> Standardize reporting formats and governance process</p><p>5. Stakeholder Coordination</p><p> Liaise with Masters, Chief Engineers and Superintendents.</p><p> Prepare monthly performance report for the Owners.</p><p> Support owners with Emissions data reporting.</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p>- Degree in Marine Engineering with Sailing experience as 3E for at least two contracts.</p><p>- A minimum of 3 years shore experience in similar role.</p><p>- Second Engineer with relevant seagoing experience and strong motivation to transition from</p><p>shipboard to shore-based role may also be considered.</p><p>- Strong knowledge of complex machinery systems, ship energy efficiency, and performance</p><p>optimization.</p><p>- Expertise in energy efficiency improvements for ocean-going vessels.</p><p>- Familiarity with international maritime regulations and industry best practices.</p><p>- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</p><p>- Ambitious to grow the Fleet Performance function and passionate about energy efficiency.</p><p>- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Power BI for data analysis and reporting.</p><p>- Critical thinking skills and proficiency in analytical tools.</p>
