Description
Responsible and Accountable for:
Screening application forms of seafarers to confirm validity of documents / certificates, service records, personal details.
Liaison with seafarers and their family members as and when required;
Arranging visas, Transportation, Joining Documentation and other formalities required;
Maintaining statistical data for seafarers (Crew-Lists, Leave status, Crew movements, Crew data, Accident and Incident information data, Follow up on Medical and P&I cases;
Co-ordination of arrangements with , contractors, Sub-contractors, etc. for seafarers as and when required;
Arranging dispatch of documentation, crew welfare items to FPD and vessels;
Embarkation checklist to be commenced at vessel crew change planner stage, filled in parallelly with his joining formalities, completed prior embarking the vessel, verified by FPD Manager & copy passed to seafarer for his records.
Verify authenticity, applicability, and adequacy of the crew documents as per embarkation checklist

Maintaining record of flights issued and verification of the seafarers travel records
Ensure compliance with:
Value-added courses and STCW courses matrix
Applicable CBA’s for Officers and ratings
Terms and conditions of Employment for Officers and Ratings
Updating Seafarers Next of Kin Form and other joining documents in Crewing Module
Applicable Immigration (Egovernance), Travel requirements and advisories along with the Company profile
Crew matrix and oil major requirements
Pre-employment medicals carried out only at company approved medical centers for seafarers
Appraisal system and appropriate reminders to vessel’s management
Vessel crew change planner
Understudying and assisting with all duties of Assistant Fleet Personnel Manager;
Any other duties which may be assigned by the Senior Management.
