<p><strong>General Responsibility:</strong></p><p>• Ensuring that the fleet is staffed with competent personnel and that motivation and</p><p>continuity of service is promoted.</p><p>• Coordination on crew matters with the company, Crew Departments and/or Crew</p><p>Managers / liaison office.</p><p>• Cooperation with and monitoring of Crew Managers / liaison office performance.</p><p>• Coordinating with the HSQEEn Department, on crew matters and office staff</p><p>resources.</p><p>• Assist the company in promoting the philosophy behind “Shipboard Management”.</p><p>• The Fleet Personnel Manager is a member of the Emergency Response Team.</p><p>• Monitor and ensure compliance with set KPI’s.</p><p>• Plan Office assignments for sailing staff which should involve assisting with</p><p>projects related to new Legislation and Equipment.</p><p><strong>The Fleet Personnel Manager shall be accountable towards the role, responsibilities and authority.</strong></p><p>• Budgeting and cost control on crew cost for the fleet and each individual vessel;</p><p>• Evaluation of Crew Managers and negotiation of contracts to meet Company</p><p>requirements, also making certain that said contractors are fully conversant with the</p><p>Company's views on the importance of motivation for quality concepts and dedication to safety & quality as the ruling criterion in personnel matters</p><p>• Specification of maritime personnel qualification requirements including monitoring,</p><p>planning and arranging regular and updating courses for maritime personnel;</p><p>• Performing short- and long-term planning for maritime personnel;</p><p>• Planning and implementing recruiting schemes;</p><p>• Monitoring quality and performance of maritime personnel quality through close</p><p>contact with Superintendents, reports from the vessels and audits of Crew Managers /</p><p>liaison office;</p><p>• Promote and assist in developing Shipboard Management;</p><p>• Welfare for maritime personnel;</p><p>• Participate and assist in planning and arranging regular conferences for Senior</p><p>Officers and Company staff;</p><p>• Initiate employment, promotion and dismissal of seafarers as required;</p><p>• Engagement / dismissal and notice of termination to Masters and Chief Engineers</p><p>after approval by the CEO;</p><p>• Execution of negotiations related to wage tariffs and CBA’s;</p><p>• Nominating Owner’s agents when necessary;</p><p>• Close contact with Travel Manager, following the development in price level for air</p><p>tickets and assisting in negotiating special contracts as needed;</p><p>• Keep in touch with latest rules and regulations of flag state and union authorities;</p><p>• To work with the management representative in support of energy management</p><p>activities. Contribute towards the development of new procedures and revision of existing procedures to keep them up to date with the latest regulatory and industrial requirements.</p><p>• At all times endeavour that shore staff as well as shipboard staff take active part in</p><p>the Health, Safety, Quality, Environmental, Energy and Cyber Security culture within the company.</p>
