<p><strong>Qualifications & Experience:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Minimum: Bachelor’s degree, sailing background preferred.</p></li><li><p> Minimum 3 years of work experience in handling claims, mainly for product tankers.</p></li><li><p>Strong communication and inter-personal skills.</p></li><li><p>Problem-solving mindset with a focus on process improvement.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Task and Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Claim handling:</strong></p><p>- Manage demurrage & post-fixture claims.</p><p>- Liaise with the client teams, vessel, agents to gather necessary information.</p><p>- Ensure accurate interpretation of contract clauses & evaluate claims based on same.</p><p>- Provide analytical insights on claims.</p><p>- Track time-bars & voyage completions to ensure timely submissions.</p><p>- Negotiate with counterparties for best outcome.</p><p>- Follow up and track outstanding claims</p><p><strong>Claim Documentation:</strong></p><p>- Collect port documents from the client/ vessel/ agents, review and procure missing documents required for claim filing.</p><p>- Ensure documents are sorted and stored as per requirement.</p><p><strong>Reporting:</strong></p><p>- Keep records and record data accurately and in a timely fashion.</p>
