<p><strong>Role Overview</strong></p><p>Responsible for managing the <strong>pre-fixture and post-fixture commercial operations</strong> of tanker vessels, ensuring smooth voyage execution, maximizing voyage profitability, coordinating with stakeholders, and maintaining efficient commercial operations.</p><p></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>1. Pre-Fixture Operations</strong></p><ul><li><p>Support the Chartering Department during pre-fixture negotiations.</p></li><li><p>Provide customers with required commercial and operational information, including:</p><ul><li><p>Vessel specifications</p></li><li><p>Cargo carrying capabilities</p></li><li><p>Vessel performance history</p></li><li><p>Trade suitability assessments</p></li><li><p>Estimated voyage costs</p></li><li><p>Port-specific information</p></li><li><p>Vessel scheduling</p></li></ul></li></ul><p><strong>2. Voyage Execution & Post-Fixture Operations</strong></p><ul><li><p>Prepare comprehensive voyage plans and voyage orders for the Master.</p></li><li><p>Maximize cargo intake while optimizing bunker requirements.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with:</p><ul><li><p>Brokers</p></li><li><p>Charterers</p></li><li><p>Ship Owners</p></li><li><p>Port Agents</p></li><li><p>Internal departments</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Ensure smooth voyage execution on a <strong>24/7 operational basis</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Monitor vessel performance throughout the voyage.</p></li><li><p>Prepare receivable summaries and liaise with the Accounts team.</p></li><li><p>Ensure timely collection of freight and other receivables.</p></li><li><p>Review Bills of Lading (B/L) and prepare Letters of Indemnity (LOI).</p></li><li><p>Monitor voyage progress, including:</p><ul><li><p>Delivery & Redelivery Notices</p></li><li><p>Statements of Facts (SOF)</p></li><li><p>Off-hire periods</p></li><li><p>Claims</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Investigate, defend, negotiate, and settle commercial claims.</p></li><li><p>Maintain a thorough understanding of Voyage Profit & Loss (P&L).</p></li><li><p>Maintain accurate off-hire records.</p></li></ul><p><strong>3. Bunkering & Vessel Optimization</strong></p><ul><li><p>Optimize vessel cargo intake.</p></li><li><p>Ensure vessels are adequately bunkered.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate bunker planning based on voyage requirements.</p></li><li><p>Liaise with weather routing services to ensure optimal sea routes and fuel efficiency.</p></li></ul><p><strong>4. Internal & External Coordination</strong></p><ul><li><p>Negotiate and appoint port agents.</p></li><li><p>Plan bunker stems based on trading area requirements and fuel grades.</p></li><li><p>Raise freight invoices and charter-related claims.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with the Post-Fixture and Claims teams.</p></li><li><p>Provide operational inputs to Claims Coordinators.</p></li><li><p>Review and approve Port Disbursement Accounts (PDA).</p></li><li><p>Maintain accurate records and update company systems.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications & Experience</strong></p><p><strong>Essential</strong></p><ul><li><p>Minimum <strong>1.5 years of experience</strong> in commercial shipping operations.</p></li><li><p>Seagoing experience on <strong>tanker vessels</strong> (Oil/Product Tankers preferred).</p></li></ul><p><strong>Preferred</strong></p><ul><li><p>Experience in <strong>Dry Bulk commercial operations</strong>.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Knowledge & Skills</strong></p><ul><li><p>Strong experience in <strong>Pre-Fixture Operations</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Good understanding of <strong>Post-Fixture Operations</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Experience handling voyage P&L and commercial performance.</p></li><li><p>Ability to negotiate and resolve post-fixture claims.</p></li><li><p>Hands-on experience with <strong>IMOS</strong> shipping software.</p></li><li><p>Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.</p></li><li><p>Proactive, solution-oriented approach.</p></li><li><p>Strong customer handling and relationship management skills.</p></li><li><p>Flexible to work outside regular business hours when operationally required.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Candidate Profile</strong></p><ul><li><p>Sailing experience on <strong>Oil/Product Tankers</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Commercial operations experience in tanker shipping.</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with charter party terms, voyage execution, laytime, and claims management.</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical and commercial mindset with excellent coordination skills.</p></li><li><p>Ability to manage multiple voyages simultaneously while ensuring operational efficiency and profitability.</p></li></ul><p></p>
